HELP! can't delete some of the folders in a users home directory?!

hi folks,
first mr post!

used 'symboliclink' service create symbolic link documents folder (among others) moved network attached storage (nas - wd live book 2tb). i've deleted originals. i.e. copied 'documents' folder nas went , deleted on hdd , replaced symbolic link (which has arrow icon vs system documents icon).

seems work fine me (the administrator @ home), when go other family users, go delete original folders (under home directory) cannot delete it. system says "foldername - can't modify or deleted because it's required mac osx".

what's happening? i'm running osx lion 10.7.2 on macbook pro. i'm trying free disk space on hdd nearing capacity (180 of 200g). it's driving me crazy tell you!

sharing thoughts guys , gals!!
come on give me best guess (best answer gets thumbs up!) :d
