UIBarButtonItem Not resizing to fit word

i have table view set ipad. in mainwindow-ipad.xib have navigation controller, table view class root view controller. on .xib have navigation bar, view controller class of table view , nib of table view. have navigation item, 2 buttons. 1 button reads archive , on left hand side. other button contains uiprogressview. have placed label on navigation bar when downloads present show name of download, , progressview unhidden , show progress of download. however, on ipad, word archive appears ar...ve. have feeling due either label or progress bar being wide, , not giving room barbuttonitem archive, can't figure out why. progressview added in xib, label added in viewdidload code:

i have tried making frame (600, -14, 70, 44) button still shortens button title. ideas?

 

how add label navbar? can show screenshot of top of screen navbar?
