dropped ipod touch in water , i need a specific answer on what to do ? help pleasee

pleassssse .

dropped ipod touch in water ,but sat there 5 mins . problem tried open . opened second screen went dark .

have been putting in rice 3 days . tried open .it wont work @ . should try charge ???? ,,, heard had same problem ipod wouldn't work after 3 days when tried after 2 weeks .it worked . should patient , re-place in rice couple of days more ????? or useless ??

if ipod dead ,will data on lost ?

 

go apple store... buy new one... after better
