hi all, in 3-5 months heading university , wanted few opinions on best computer me get. have $500 saved , dad said pay $1000 graduation/birthday present. i'll waiting apple's school discount roll around before make purchases. choices i'm considering macbook pro, macbook air, or imac (all base model). computer used assignments, papers, notes (microsoft office), web-design, video editing, graphic-design (adobe cs5), various audio recording/editing software, , emails , web surfing. 1 best choice?
i go mbp if portability.having desktop in dorm room may difficult in terms of space-taking notes in class quite useful. may want consider refurbished units can bring price down-many here have bought refurbished units , been quite happy.
