When on BST, lots of functionality goes weird...

...i had problem pre-lion, it's still presumably software related figured lion sub-forum best place.

basically, have 2010 imac , past 2 years, when enter british summer time (which imac detects), caffeine (a little app toggle between sleep , not) stops working on start-up, , clock thinks it's 1 hour faster is. both of these fixed (restart caffeine, go time , date settings) it's little annoying have each time. idea causing these issues? stop once bst ends
