iMac G5 20" SSD?

hi,

have old imac 2ghz g5 20" 1.5gb ram (from 2005) in kitchen. it's last model before went isight camera. has new 2tb wd caviar black hd (one of best available). runs osx 10.4.11 tiger , used safari browsing , spotify via airfoil/airport express.

now, thought fun, since these easy-to-upgrade ones put small 60gb ssd in ( not care space).

know it's not wise (financially) not care, since it's fun. local stores here sell vertex 2/3 or agility drives. know these total overkill, sell around 60-80 euro's.

see speed increase? machine runs flawlessly , not slow. have thing best out of everything, older machines.

i'd hear opinions if make difference (i have ssd's in machines varying 2006-2011). don't care price , stuff that, don't start that.

i've had lot of macs (before mba w/ 27 tb , had 27 imac 16gb ram/ssd bla bla) in last years ( switch lot).

want feedback, that's all.

 

so, took plunge , purchased ocz agility 3 60gb ssd. formatted mac os journaled witht powerpc apple partition (not guid). drive not getting recognized system unfortunately using tiger install disks..
