No service on jailbroken phone.

iphone 4, att locked.
jailbroken using whatever latest version of redsnow week ago.
have genuine geveysim ultra.
ios 5.0.1, baseband 4.10.01

wife hands me non-jailbroken phone, ios 4.3.5.

plug in gevey, follow instructions, success first time.
never works again. "no service"

upgraded 5.0.1, preserving baseband redsnow
tried again gevey ultra (yes, genuine, checked dot), never - , mean never, signal.
phone works wonderfully ipod touch.
she'd work on o2 network here in uk.

did o2 block me somehow? did jailbreak not activate phone? after itunes upgrade, got scared because couldn't past activation screen. couldn't phone. jailbreak got me past that.

same o2 sim works fine in cheap phone.

i'm @ wits end. suggestions?
network reset? new sim?

if on 5.0.1, jailbroken preserve baseband, should try use furiousmod gevey ultra. per following thread, works;
