Yes another "Which iPad to buy?" post...

i sold original ipad 1 64gig wifi model other day in preparation ipad 3 replacement.

know going buy 64gig version; however, torn between getting wifi model, use ipad 90% of time. said, nice on vacations , have 4g verizon lte service available me if needed, since available month-to-month option.

question is, have activate lte service if you're not going use or can @ leisure? not want or need monthly expense right now... also, i've seen mention 4g models support actual gps, when using cellular companies towers... assume have have active lte service in order gps function? if not, gps work mapping applications while driving around town?

i'm going best buy later weekend replacement suggestions appreciated.

you can activate 4g @ leisure. gps work without activation, apps require network access updating won't work expected. if purchase navigation app downloads pertinent maps , stores them on device, go.
