so i'm looking @ getting either base 27" or high end 27" dunno which.
may 21.5 depending on answers question.
1) let's rented movie off of itunes or watched blu ray off of external drive, resolution of movies full 2560 x 1440 or scaled down 1920 x 1080. also, if scaled down, how bad given that movie not playing @ full resolution?
know video games can run @ native resolution don't know why movies wouldn't. answering question
since 27" imac has 2560 x 1400 pixel, native resolution of mac.
if play 720p or 1080i/p video, video gets scaled up, depending on software use play video, won't notice really.
can play 480p , 720p video, if encoded, on 1680 x 1050 pixel 20" imac fine , doesn't show blocky pixels.
, if @ apple store or store selling macs, allows internet access, watch of trailers @ http://trailers.apple.com in 720p or 1080p/i on 27" imac , see yourself.
