have windows 7 pc connected via router well. both windows machines have no issue browsing.

using network utility on mac ping www.apple.com returns results.
mac can see shares on windows system no problem.

have tried:
reboot of machines.
trying macs ethernet in different router port.
renewing dhcp licenses on mac.

clearly internet sort of working. can reach google. issue appears reaching else besides google.
success reaching 1 site followed timeouts on other sites dns issue. try overriding , putting opendns or googledns entries in mac (in properties tcpip ethernet) rather letting pc autoassign dns via dhcp. should not able reach google, should able reach link google sends to.
