Question for those with iPhone and iPad - benefits of having both?

have iphone4s , of course love . i'm thinking getting new ipad, having difficult time justifying getting one. of have both iphone , ipad, reasons why have both? b/c ipad has bigger screen it's more convenient use ipad instead of iphone? benefits of having both?

bunch feedback.

 

have ever been using iphone , thought, "oh, better if had larger screen"? if yes, ipad may you. if not, no, there no benefit getting ipad.
