Profile manager seems slow to work

hi guys
new servers - learning hard (slow) way...
tinkering lion server on mac mini, setting manage various apple computers , ios devices in our house

far services i've activated, when tinkering profile manager settings , pushing them various groups of devices, seems sit ages on 'active tasks' of pushing out profiles. i've been able confirm 1 instance change made adopted imac (presume profile changes adopted @ next login?) wife's macbook (lion) , of our ios devices seem reluctant adopt profile changes.

got thoughts?

default profile in group "everybody" not pushed have manually download it.

when create other profiles, under general make sure set profile distribution type automatic push.
