Possible to keep applications after removing Cydia?

hey everyone!

asking rather taboo question, i'm considering jailbreaking (first time jailbreaking) ipad install "f.lux" on via cydia, have plans of restoring previous un-jailbroken status (since there's 1 application in particular has sparked interest.)

there way of going process, or must keep ipad in 'jailbroken' status keep cydia applications? i'm assuming it's 'no' since there no 'f.lux' application match found in app store.
