yes, know old conversation have 2008 imac 24" , have been plagued optical drive problems. have had large number of disks stuck , fed of taking imac apart disk out.
reluctant buy new drive @ $80 or pay apple replace more feel happen again.
so, poll find out how many more people have had issue c2d/i5/i7 imac can't person!
my '08 24" had issue , apple replaced under apple care. haven't had problem since. odd part use thing. in fact, plan on deleting next imac (replace ssd). used when got digital copies of movies when bought blu-ray.
