Need help with back up solutions

help - need coming easy backup workflow , external hard drive solution.

have @ moment is

imac 1tb storage documents, etc
1 x gtech 320gb firewire 800 number of aperture library vaults (310gb used)

1 x gtech 1tb storage daisy chained other gtech - on 540gb of aperture libraries, assorted videos.

1 x wd passport 500gb usb 2 - time machine (goes month)

feeling little paranoid not having off site storage somewhere , should using software superduper bootable ups etc.

not professional photographer - likes taking pictures , has amassed rather lot of them still in raw format (i round converting jpeg @ point)

can give me pointers

1. suggested workflow
2. additional external hard drives (not expensive please)
3. other advice welcome

thanks

imac 21.5" i3 3.2, canon 7d , many lenses list here

you sound in same pickle year or back. had stuff on place, photos mainly. decided sort it, , have:

macbook pro main system, external 3tb g-tech drive main storage photos. mbp has nothing on @ all, goes on g-tech.

have second identical g-tech 3tb drive syncs original, never deletes. new on drive 1 automatically gets synced drive 2. use custom script runs hourly, getbackup can same thing you.

have second script runs every week syncs drive 2 third drive, g-tech keep @ work on mac there. happens on night. easier option bring drive home every friday , manually, i'd forget.

that's 3 copies 1 off-site.

not bit crazy! take third copy , sync server have (also @ work) backed second identical server, both of backed daily tape our department. tapes stored in vault.

shoot in raw, first script makes tiff file , lower res jpeg me. covers formats.

i'm realising may have gone on board backup solution.

anyway, if i'd use getbackup pro , buy 2 3tb g-tech drives, move stuff onto one, sync second, , use existing 1tb g-tech off-site storage of important stuff.
