Mid 2011 21.5" - Too Slow

i have mid 2011 base imac 21.5" 500gb hd runs slow - alot of beachballs. have upgraded ram 8 gb not help.

suggestions?

 

beachball ram not always. either way, more information helpful.

kind of stuff doing when happens? how have open @ 1 time? also, kind of information activity monitor showing far ram , cpu usage?

if ram, 8gb, still run little sluggish. depends on you're doing why ask above.
