as new mac mini released month (ivy bridge isn't far away), want know expect. have 2009 mbp 2,66 ghz c2d , geforce gt9600m 256mb right , need new main machine outperforms mbp in every way.
so, first on cpu. intel has oem-only core i7 uses 35w power (exactly as current i5 2,5 ghz) , quad-core 2,1 ghz cpu. if it's 5-10% faster current mac mini server, should sufficient uses - video editing fcp, or not?
gpu, did research, , sadly, here's not room improvement. possible options new radeon hd 7650/7670, uses power current hd6630, they're 5-15% faster. wish build in hd6730m 25% faster, won't fit 10w tdp left graphics.
think apple able use more power cpu , gpu now? heard fans pretty loud now, doubt risk making them louder ... @ least wish 512mb gddr5-vram bto-option 1gb - not ask in 2012, it? (yeah
, know is...)
next, ssd. won't build 1 in standard, , bto-option going cheaper, not "cheap" corsair force 3 120gb ssd 120. sad loose warranty when build in ...
1 question: removed dvd-burner last year. what's in space optical drive then? empty in non-server, single-hdd version? may use build in fan , bigger graphics card *dreaming*.
think possible , wish haves? please let me know!
been discussed extensively elsewhere, e.g.

there other threads if quick search...
owner of mini server having moved on late 2007 15" mbp, thing machine needs dedicated gpu , it's flying. if can fit 1 in , keep heat down quad core processor in situ
