IPad email struggle = frustration.

i have ipad 1 , wife has ipad 2. both have same problems:

delete some, if not emails on ipad. go trash in email account , delete messages there too. when deleting, we'll 10 or 15 @ time , when doing so, ipad goes blank , home screen. go in email , of deleted emails again.

also- while in middle of typing email, screen goes blank , goes home screen deleting have typed.

both of these frustrating , make both not want use email on our ipads. ideas , how fix it?

it sounds mail app crashing. have tried doing soft reset pressing , holding home + lock button?
