tried using internal microphone on macbook pro (mac os x 10.7.3 lion) , no matter doesn't record sound @ all. when testing it gives no levels or sound ever. checked audio midi setup options , noticed master audio slider internal microphone greyed out , set the left think seems problem. there way enable master volume or has had same issue?

i've had same issue. output volume fine, input muffled , very far away sounding. what's solution?
