Instant messaging security and battery life

wirelessly posted (mozilla/5.0 (iphone; cpu iphone os 5_0_1 mac os x) applewebkit/534.46 (khtml, gecko) version/5.1 mobile/9a406 safari/7534.48.3)

edit- oops clumsy fingers on phone. title should read
instant messaging security , battery life.

@ moment i'm using imo messaging app i'm wondering if more secure use official apps , if doing uses less or more battery. course try wouldn't answer security question.

it's less secure.

imo, beejive, whoever taking username/password give them , logging in. have trust privacy policy , ethics.

suspect battery life negligible between them.
