I can only see 1 tb of a external 3 tb hard drive

i have 3tb wd mybook hard drive used disk drill recover a 2tb hard drive to.
had of 2 tb worth of files on there 1 week ago, when plugged in firewire 800 port today, see empty 999.75 gb available , can't see of recovered files.

ran disk drill again , there 1 2.78 gb partition

know happened?

have late 2008 macbook pro running os x 10.7.3.
