How do I uninstall certain applications "required by Mac OS X".
so want rid of applications don't need/want/use problem when try message... x application cant modified or deleted because its required mac os x".
i'm trying rid of following applications: stickies, mail, chess, etc.
when install application(google chrome, firefox), automatically gets listed under "devices"... normal or i'm doing wrong? right click "eject" remove list.
to uninstall app, drag trash, or right-click , "move trash". sufficient uninstall app. however, apps leave files/folders behind, such preference lists, caches, etc. these have no effect on system, other taking drive space. if want rid of traces of app, effective method complete app removal manual deletion:
however, careful deleting apps came pre-installed on mac. may find need or want of later. user files take more space on disk having apps installed, it's better leave pre-installed apps alone.
