hello all,
advice, computer seems running real slow.
2008 non unibody mbp. ran fusion version 2, upgraded lion , fusion 4.1. slow.
have upgraded 2 6 gb ram , bigger (500gb) hd year ago. recent software upgrades macos , fusion noticeably slow.
on activity monitor:
wired ram 1.67
active 2.83
inactive 1.47
why have 1.47 free? come think of it, every time have ever checked when slow there 1-2gb ram free , not being used.
have fusion set @ 1.0gb ram , 1 core (this dual core intel chip)
"page outs" 980mb, don't know if lot or little.
thoughts on can change? settings check?
hd 90% full. maybe , need bigger 1 again.
in advance
50gb free should okay, should see if have clean up.
980 mb, depends on over how time has accumulated. if it's on days of uptime, it's fine. hours it's fine. if happens quickly, gb of ram help. (yes, know can't add 1 gb, it's whatever increment need in system.)
also, try 2 things fusion set up. first.. presuming you're running windows, disk cleanup followed disk defrag. , fusion should allow compress virtual disk. should recover disk space on mac , speed things when fusion running.
