Have a 120Gig MacBook Pro and only shows 27 gig free

i've had macbook pro 5 years , i've cleared out. no movies, , i'm showing have 27 free gigs left.

have 2008 images in iphoto, i've had several thousand images before in raw , didn't take space. gives?

have suggestions?

 

to find out, hard drive capacity being used, can use following free applications:

• diskinventory x
• omnidisksweeper
• jdisk report
• grandperspective

maybe try combination of several, if still can't find "missing" capacity.


if have mac os x 10.7 lion:
what "other" in storage tab? eating space? theseb
