my parents still using old g4 computer. every computer they've had since our first pc (ibm aptiva 60mhz pentium) has been hand me down me. ordered base model mac mini w/ 2gb ram , integrated graphics. i'm sure of fine parents. have couple questions though.
i've seen lot of people recommend more ram right off bat. both crucial , owc have pretty prices, don't understand why offer upgrades 16gb when apple says supports 8gb. not spring 16gb upgrade...but gives?
second, i'm going spring lcd monitor (currently leaning towards asus vh236h). can benefit hdmi cable, or dvi hdmi adapter give same image quality?
apple has history of underrating how ram computers accept. perhaps more knowledgeable have explanation why, it's nothing new.
