if want go through , edit in library folder, shows plist, can't see easily. there somewhere else edit..

stuff on there don't want, bookmarks bar news (766) that, 766 what?

 

well, "766" number number of new rss items. news bookmark contains rss feeds several sites, , number in parentheses after bookmark name in bar or menu tells how many new things have appeared.

i'm not sure understand question, otherwise; in safari, edit bookmarks clicking little book icon on far left of bookmark bar, or selecting "show bookmarks" bookmark menu. there can edit or delete items in bar, menu, or folders appear in neither, if you're bookmark fiend. items in bar, can drag them off , disappear in puff.

if i'm reading right , you're poking around in library folder, you're doing wrong--the end user never intended manually touch in folder, , they've hidden default in lion discourage doing so. use app edit things, in case safari.
