overall, quality looks sturdy. looks , feels nice , protective. style of case makes have 4 snap locks [two on top/bottom right, , 2 semi-center].
put ipad in, , says strong. doesn't budge. design left side "not locked" because of ability change views, pain (see landscape mode)

typing mode

another design seems wonderful typing mode. functions smart cover, in front cover has 3 sections can roll , used in typing stand.
reason why said typing stand opposed smart cover, because photive front cover not strong enough carry weight of ipad , plate view in landscape mode [you know how smart cover can used typing mode , landscape mode, photive case can't landscape mode using smart cover way].

pushed typing mode, , started typing. extremely comfortable , easy. 1 problem had had force typing mode. mean when fold cover doesn't end in triangular shape, take second correct. anyway, once in typing mode, damn steady. no wobbles, nothing.

landscape mode

this doesn't mean there no way. have portfolio method. it's interesting note unlike tradition portfolios, there no "back pocket" tuck in. rather flip front cover out, , place ipad on notches. easy , simple!.

placed ipad in case, , tried move landscape mode. failed. lol. have careful because have have push entire left side of ipad out, while keeping case in. want left side of ipad come out. tried while, , figured out. think problem had no experience, difficulty. it's rather simple, still wish had more arms, because fear ipad slip , crash. sure hit microfiber cloth, tension stands.

sleep / awake

this rough land walk on. many ipad users, having hte smart sleep / wake feature important, polarity issues seem stand case. interestingly 1 reviewer, out of others has claimed sleep / awake feature works on new ipad 3. highly doubt it, try out , update post.
update: tried , did not work. me hardly problem. set ipad auto sleep in 2 minutes of inactivity, , 2 minutes of idleness not murder ipad's battery life.

as mentioned before, product has case it. has plastic border , leathery rectangular surface on back.

interior lining

it's soft microfiber lining, potential con can see attracting dirt , dust being in landscape mode. luckily extends through entire case [front , back, got soft front , protect ipad scratches.
microfiber doesn't clean glass , fingerprints, never "forced" to. awaking , closing not remove finger prints. hardly problem me because picked 2 microfiber cloths @ local staples [$0.50 each] , i'm happy. it's weight carry around, clean ipad

weight
this first ipad, in opinion, hardly changes weight. although don't take out of case [it pain me (which assume thing), feel of it, weight change noticeable. maybe it's ipad's new weight feeling, seem heavier in hands. that's natural cases.

overall remarks , conclusion

i'm going keep it. price of $25 [back then, $30], it's great deal because made new ipad. there lot of products made both ipad 2 , 3, may not sure those, 1 solid in feel, design, , style , said before,- made ipad [3rd gen].
sure doesn't have sleep / awake feature many people want, a) isn't mentioned in product description on amazon listing page, , b) how hard can press button , slide [i'm not judging, saying don't care sleep / awake feature, great case].
1 thing don't case front cover can't pulled back. changes hold. instead of holding firm straight case, fingers starting slope upwards because of front cover not being 100% straight in back. it's more \ _, tiny "slope up" in between. (will add pic tomorrow)
