Password protected online file sharing

i looking service allow me securely upload file , obtain web link file can pass on recipient download file. want able specify password recipient need enter download file.

have dropbox account don't seem able specify passwords share links.

box.net provides want not in free plan. willing pay feature, not $15/month required use box.net. prefer pay-per-usage service or plan less $15/month.

yousendit.com has want , has pay-per-use option whilst trying out service experiencing significant performance issues site (site navigation slow , and uploads fail).

can recommend other options?

p.s. don't want encrypt document , upload dropbox. ease of use (for recipients), want download password protected, not file itself.

 

www.2shared.com gives password protected download links, , administrative links, manage upload. not user friendly, download linked quite small, free.
