Memory leak on MBA?

hello,

perhaps i'm in wrong forum post this, here goes anyways.

experiencing believe memory leak on 2011 mba. when boot up, i'm using around 1.2 gb of memory according desktop monitor. after while, using different programs, opening , closing them, end having majority of memory in "used" state, when programs have been shut down via quit. i'm wondering if normal lion , or 2011 mba's.

currently, according desktop monitor, have following memory usage.
used: 2.71 gb
free 904 mb
wired: 1.07 gb
active 1.64 gb
inactive 413 mb

advice/tips be appriecated, can notice program performance issues when i've got high amount of used memory.

ps - i'm going reboot , post desktop monitor saying fresh boot.

edit: fresh boot follows:
used: 1.29
free: 2.53
wired: 832 mb
active: 506 mb
inactive: 413 mb

lion uses lot of ram cache on startup, , continues cache ram use more apps. when app asks more ram current free amount, lion frees cache , allocates accordingly.

cache make sure things remain zippy , fast across. it's normal.

on side note, if have more 4gb of ram, it'll show 1.5gb 2gb used on startup. that's normal. windows 7 that, too.
