wallpaper not sharp

if select 1 of apple wallpapers. looks sharp , clear
if put 1 of own shots (which pixels sharp , resized 2048x2048) looks resampled , compressed , looks soft

know can

 

i've had same problem. if have picture on desktop , set (via "services"), shows sharp. ends reverting soft looking version. haven't done enough testing see makes go soft.

have found solution?
