iPod touch Putting music on jailbroken Ipod touch problem

hey guys, new forum!
wondering if me, jailbroke ipod months ago , @ time moved of music folder along default ipod folder makes in there onto external hard drive in attempt clear space on laptop. want change of music on ipod dont know do? itunes library comes blank because moved said. there way drag , drop music onto ipod without syncing? easiest thing do? (bearing in mind dont want uninstall cydia , installous apps)

itunes --> file --> add folder library... , select external hard drive music folder , sync.
