So confused about Group Messaging

so don't use group messaging, i'm curious how works. i've googled lot it, i'm still confused heck.

1. can send mixture of imessages , mms'es, or default lowest common denominator?

2. making other person's phone "reply all" mms, or route phone, rebroadcast out rest of group?

3. support mms? know @ least 1 person has mms blocked (data block on at&t).

4. show on android? annoying mms that's hard read, or show regular message inline else?

oh, easier if apple released imessage app android use lol.
