Plz help why are high res images I email to myself look low res and pixelated on iPad

hey guys,

anyway fix this? architectural renderings ass on ipad ans want show them people. email myself high res image computer..when download pic ipad , zoom in, looks crap way worse on crappy monitors @ work...any workaround ? ty

 

perhaps ridiculous high res screen? if can transfer them on through itunes or pluggin in mac/pc, should see if better way.
