with announcement of air play in new osx mountain lion, there absolutely no way apple going drag down rest of it's 1080p(or better) resolutions it's entire product line. apple has know there ton of 1080 atv3 sold mirroring mac tv won't totally degraded. don't think apple dumb offer $2000+ 42/46/55" tv. think that's why tim cook announced number of atv units sold in 4th quarter first time.
mountain lion coming out summer, i'm predicting bottle neck in whole system(atv2) gathering dust , new atv3 rolled out. perhaps come ipad 3 announcement.
yep, should coming out soon, since retailer can't re stock on apple tv2s anymore.
