iPad Camera

i have been thinking today , wanted other peoples opinions on it:

if apple using same optics in new ipad in 4s, using 5mp sensor vs 8mp one, wouldn't allow more light enter pixels using 4s, translating better lighting (and maybe picture quality)? else think that?

 

i know mp isn't everything, saying 5mp better 8mp...wait what?
