hi everyone,

i'm in process of ripping dvd collection , want automate workflow of moving .dvdmedia files , .m4v files desktop alphabetical folders on external hd.

know how in automater (very tedious , i'm sure worst way) finding .dvdmedia , .m4v files on desktop, checking if filename starts a, , moving folder. problem require me set 104 automator actions- 2 each letter, , 1 each .dvdmedia , .m4v.

looking "better way". not extremely applescript know of basics. reference, external hard drive structure looks like:

2tb external
/movies
/dvd rips
/a
/b
.
.
.
/full movies
/a
/b
.
.
.

in advance guidance!
