Just got a used macbook--where's the audio input?

hi. bought original macbook made in oct 2009. audio input? bought make music. why there no audio input? have spend more money on sound card? why people @ apple not have such necessary feature?

 

if im not mistaken audio out line in....


audio out port - connect external speakers, headphones (including iphone), or digital audio equipment use line-level microphone or analog equipment. specify audio line in functionality using sound system preferences.
