Having a bit of an issue...

alright, so... i've been more of lurker poster, wanted run situation smart people here, , see think. note: taking imac in today serviced, if can save trip maybe post worth it! bare me... bit lengthy...

i'm running 21.5' 2011 imac. it's date lion 10.6.whatever number on now, lol. attached usb keyboard (apple) , usb mouse (logitech), external hd , secondary monitor.

last night, playing game and, out of nowhere, external monitor , harddrive stopped working. unplugged them both, , still had full function on keyboard , mouse. 3-5 minutes pass by, , keyboard , mouse stop working, , have not worked since. since whole debacle started, though, mouse has gone being 100% unresponsive upon plugin sensor light on bottom flashing when plugged in, becoming unresponsive after. if plug external monitor in, nothing. if plug external hd in, light on hd lights if connected, have no way of telling if or not. of these things work when connected other computers. husband's keyboard has lights show when connected computer, plugged keyboard in, , light came on, keyboard unresponsive. mouse 100% unresponsive when plugged computer.

solutions, obviously, i've tried unplugging , restarting. i've tried smc reset multiple times. i've tried pram reset, wouldn't work due no keyboard, never hurts try suppose. i've noted screen sharing app, , cursed myself not having enabled on imac. cursing continued when realized have no sharing enabled on imac. more cursing came when realized had disabled bluetooth connections, , therefore cannot connect wireless keyboard, wireless magic mouse or trackpad. (you can better believe have these enabled when issue resolved, though!!)

so, pretty much, seems if usb , thunderbolt ports either disabled or dead, can't check because ... no keyboard or mouse.

said, i'm taking in, hey... if have ideas haven't found searching (and think i've pretty picked internet clean searching...) please feel free me! (luckily, too, have applecare...) thank in advance!

take in repair immediately.
