like lot of folks on here, i'm disappointed how at&t addressing throttling issue. last year told throttling designed limit heavy users. threshold has been lowered 2 gig level old mainstream plan , 50% lower current $30 plan.
when @ personal data usage year, used between 1-2.5 gigs month. averaged around 1.8 gigs.
ever since throttling stories came out, find myself worrying data point data usage half it's normal rate. , i'm wondering why. if feel you're limiting use of phone, worth unlimited data plan?
if buying phone today, 3gb/$30 plan perfect. , if there crazy month used half gig more ever had...the cost measly $10. i'd rather pony $10 have device brought screeching halt.
thing keeping me switching today means at&t's heavy handed ways forced me switching. while don't think letters fcc or threats of class action suit amount anything, think it's important at&t message how customers feel.
understood $30 unlimited wasn't going last forever. at&t hasn't offered unlimited data plans in 18 months. rumors have been around years go away lte. being forced switch or heavily modify phone usage leaves bad taste.
have admit, i'm tempted move 3 gig plan , done it. has else made jump?
have been throttled? @ 1.8gigs of usage, should under radar.
wouldn't make move until at&t starts throttle you. if you're prepared make switch now, wait... don't worry usage, use phone. long don't increase usage beyond norm, nothing should happen quite while yet.
, if do, well, consider @ point whether want switch.
