Time Machine won't back up

i ihave 1 tb lacie hard drive timemachine/
worked months started getting error messages

can still open or copy files on disk, can’t save changes files on disk. disk , reformat can.

,

files can’t copied onto backup disk because appears read-only.

may need repair or reformat disk using disk utility. if disk can’t repaired, must use different disk backups. open time machine preferences select different backup disk.

have replaced mac book pro hard drive ...
have reformatted ext hard drive many times. works few days week error again
driving me crazy.

advice appreciated!

 

get new drive.
