AV Adaptor

i received apple's av adaptor (hdmi) says need firmware update. on 5.0.1 (ipad2) , want keep jb. having issue or work around?

it's not working iphone 4. there's sound not video. tried iphone 4s , works flawlessly.

 

tried calling apple support don't seem know there's firmware requirement , iphone 4 problem.

please help!!!!
