i used have older mba , mbp external samsung monitor attached it. have no idea if that's os reason, under leopard attach screen while closed, wake mba external mouse/keyboard external monitor show up. open mba (for cooling reasons) without having display on mba turn on well.
have latest generation of mba lion, same setup, cannot anymore , cannot find setting change was. everytime open mba turn on display, annoying because want work on 1 screen.
knows solution this?? thanks!!
from know, lion made changes whatever reason. if search forums (sorry don't remember saw exactly) there've been posts people have come solutions, whether went through terminal or placing magnets on sensor is?
let know there's no box can simple "check" or "uncheck" in system preferences.
many users use mba's in clamshell mode (including me) , not have irregular heating issues vs. if have left open. heat leaves of mba, not through keyboard insist. therefore, there should not difference in how hot mba gets display open vs. being closed.
