1. retina display. 2048×1536 resolution unheard of. rare find computer monitors come in resolution. display on portable device heart , soul of device. when iphone 4 screen size small, retina display destroyed other competing phone on market year. no other manufacture respond.
2. lte. at&t , verizon have both proven lte super fast (i have work phone lte , no lower 10 megs down, thats faster internet @ home!). imagine surfing @ broadband speeds on road 4g available.
3. apple a5x. cpu , gpu blowing lids off other tablet on market. powerful tablet on market, bar none. able play high res games , complex apps. a5x nothing sneeze at. amount of engineering took make possible fit in thin device should earn engineers nobel prizes.
4. price. tech crammed thin package, still same price last years model. new high resolution display not cheap, apple dominating suppliers worldwide , got deal.
5. battery life. powerful processor, new ipad able maintain battery life. 3x amount of pixels on display (from 1 million 3 million!!) ipad still able squeeze out same battery life. has bigger battery, thats amazing because ipad isn't thicker. thats $@*& amazing.
your viewpoint seems in minority around here right now, agree tremendous upgrade.
