Move everything to iCloud except my iMac

i use imac music production in logic, not ready go lion quite yet. it's more stable that.

i'd move macbook pro ipad2 , iphone 4s on icloud, , start playing docs in cloud (pages) etc. when started process, said calendars etc updated devices, not mobile me.

i've been not syncing calendars, contacts etc on imac recently, , behind else. whenever "you syncing first time" dialogue box comes on imac, asking whether want merge or replace on computer etc, i've been dismissing it.

should turn off syncing stuff on imac before moving else (macbook pro, ipad , iphone) on icloud?
