Identical backup can be very different..

hello,
backup content time capsule hard drive. perfect identical up, same files, copied. 10 hours needed no errors.

- time capsule shows 973 gb of space employed , 25,04 gb of space free.
- toshiba shows 998 gb of space employed , 1,98 gb of space free.

25 gb of difference!? much. how posible?

details :

- lion version 10.7.2

- disk toshiba 1tb model e05a100pbu3xs (formatted exfat)

if dragged backup via finder, might not have copied data. better use carboncopycloner cloning tc hdd.
btw, 1,98 gb free capacity not good, advised have @ least 10 percent of hdd's full capacity free (100 gb out of 1 tb).
