ATV2 Wont Stream from iMac

hey guys, long time reader, light poster... looking here.

can't apple tv 2 stream movies imac. have mid 2011 27 imac bells , whistles... network latest airport express model latest updates, , apple tv month old , updated.

weird part is, can purchase content itunes, , can stream movies mac book pro. majority of movie collection on imac, , not stream.

have tried streaming itunes purchases movies have ripped on handbrake using atv2 encoding option.

idea why seems imac , atv2 can't talk? have had few times loads movie after 5-10 minutes, cue takes forever... takes longer downloaded whole movie or streaming internet...
