howdy! i've been using high-res 15" mbp app development, , while display nice (although bit of eye strain), i'd invest in single/dual monitor setup when i'm working on projects @ home. haven't found definitive buying guides, thought place ask.
apple's thunderbolt display looks nice, $1000, literally build array of 6 mid-range monitors. worse, td has no vga, no dvi (inexcusable), , no hdmi, making useless windows machines. usb 2.0 , 1 thunderbolt port doesn't value either.
on other hand, of other displays i've seen in various stores manufactured cheaply, literally creak when adjust them, , lacking dvi , hdmi well. many dozens (hundreds?) of different models, i'm having hard time sorting out ones.
please give me recommendations display. value size (bigger), clarity, build quality, , having more vga connection. also, worthwhile buy 1 of weird adapters hooking 2 monitors, or can wear on system? thanks!
i'm familiar 24" monitors:
try dell u2412m. ips panel, relatively cheap, displayport+dvi+vga.
or hp zr24w. same deal inputs, better panel.
or if want hdmi , superior picture quality, check out dell u2410, it's expensive. best of bunch.
