Can't drag+drop and copy+paste on Ubuntu 11.10 - (Parallel Desktop 7)

i have 2 virtual machines running on macbookpro. 1 windows , other ubuntu. windows 7 system running ubuntu vm has got issues dragging/dropping files mac ubuntu , vice versa.

when checked on parallel desktop's forum, solution provided parallel desktop's tool should uninstalled , reinstalled; have done. didn't solve problem. configuration menu "virtual machine" offered checkboxes (copy & paste) section, , can confirm both boxes 'share mac cipboard' , 'preserve text formatting' checked. should have solved copy/paste problem didn't.

faced problem before ? solutions may have ?

 

i hope earlier question on above post clear.
worries me no-one has answer
