iPhoto 11 vs Aperture

i starting think reaching limits of iphoto , looking upgrading aperture.

mac getting slower , slower , may due large amounts of photos , videos have iphoto , imovie, side point.

have imac 8 gb of ram , intel i5 processor.

1 feature make decision upgrade aperture 1 transposes dates of each picture onto actual picture. know can figure out date/time of picture looking @ file attributes, typically need know date when not sitting in front of mac.

year old days when pictures processed date/time printed part of picture.

use canon t3i , there no way camera transpose date onto image, looking software take care of me.

know if aperture can this?

know if aperture , final cut process projects , large amounts of files better iphoto , imovie? mac revolving pinwheel starting feel revolving hour glass don't miss seeing.

thanks!!

with aperture can create custom print settings, ability add meta data (including date , time) print output. see screenshot below:

both aperture , final cut pro designed professional use, , aperture has no problem holding lot of digital images. have every single photo taken since 1999 in aperture library, getting on 500gb.
