Use 3gs as iPod with no sim

hi forum,

i've got hands on iphone 3gs ios 5.0 of 5.0.1 (not sure which) running on it. clean , acts new phone when turn in on. keeps asking sim , won't let me anything.

possible activate , use without sim? i've got microsim 4s , doesn't fit in 3gs. find tutorials sim required.

you need sim. unless put dfu mode , hactivate
